I've managed to make my twice-weekly pilgrimage to Warrington less awful by discovering a country pub half way, that also happens to be an excellent place to do some FT8 from, due to about 450m of elevation above sea level.

For American viewers, 450m is about 89.5 poles.

@tryst

We normally don't use Poles. How much is that in Latvians?

@tryst 89.5?
....Dang they have tall people in Poland...

@Tvorsk Poles are really tall.

1 Pole = 2.96 Smoots!

@tryst Well, that gives that one bridge a nice looking 123 poles of length... oh. 123 point one.
@tryst
How many hogsheads to the gallon did you get driving there?
@tryst
Also that sounds like Helsby Hill.
@mw1cgg The name of the pub is a euphemism for penis

@tryst
A have a few to choose from then but I'm guessing it's not Kash 22 as apart from the spellink (sic) it's too low.

Great Budworth?

@mw1cgg The Winking Man on the back of the Roaches. It's actually closer to 350 than 450m. I took a wild guess.
@tryst
Now that wasn't one I was thinking of but tbh, I wasn't paying too much attention to the from and to. I'm no spook and I have little interest.
@mw1cgg It's a skill. Give me a drink at EMF and I'll tell you some stories.
@tryst I'm not sure I want to know, but I'll take you up on that offer next year.
