The process of watching "Lifeforce" (1985)
Anyway I'm gonna need you to listen to the first minute and thirty seconds of this so you can understand I hear in my head when I see the Cannon Group logo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4-iYnZtJcI

@mcc lol same. this mix changed my life 😂
@mcc this actually slaps a lot.
@mcc I haven’t listened to this in forever. Thanks for reminding me about it.
@mcc Oddly, a year later, the game Salamander was released in the US as "Life Force". Absolutely no connection between the two otherwise.
@TomF I was wondering about that
@mcc I looked up the lead lady on that film and she got rather typecast as "naked woman". In fact her first major film production where she got to keep her clothes on appears to be... Privateer 2!

@mcc I remember it having quite decent special effects for the time, plus of course the general weirdness, and a whole host of nudity (mostly boobs).
@mcc this is one of my favorite movies ever. it's so bonkers
@mcc watched that couple weeks ago after watching a Brandon Tenold best of video had it recommended
@mcc Oooo. A very strange and wonderful movie.
@jef @mcc a movie about space vampires using the mary tyler moore font, that's kinda odd right out the gate
@moira @mcc And the head vampire is a French ballet dancer who at the time didn't speak a word of English.
@jef @moira @mcc that explains why she agreed to spending the entire movie nude.
@luvcraft @jef @mcc I saw it like 15 years ago, kinda feel like seeing it again, something was making me think of it recently and it definitely had an attractiveness to its oddness, that's certain

@luvcraft @moira @mcc I remember an interview with her years later where she said she didn't realize she'd be performing nude. And she thought she was hired to do some sort of interpretive dance, not as an actor.

But I figure, when Tobe Hooper - did we mention yet it was directed by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Tobe Hooper? - when he saw her incredible, riveting *posture*, he had to make her the co-star.

@mcc Lifeforce liker here, buckle up!
@mcc There are no bad movies with Space Vampires. Just the best cheesy fun movies. Enjoy Lifeforce and the music Cannon used for trailers there after.
@mcc but are you going to follow this up with the amazing "Planet of the Vampires", and be astounded by the elements of it that directly influenced Alien?
@mcc Yes! Such a Sicko movie. I saw a 70mm print of it once because why not?
