There is a Google doc that lists gynaecologists who will perform tubal ligation (tie tubes) without asking if you have kids/your partners permission/are married etc. as long as you're old enough to consent to surgery.

It's sorted by alphabetical order by state.

If your city isn't listed, keep checking because it's constantly being updated.

So far there are entries for USA, Canada, and Australia. Europe will hopefully soon be added.

In the UK it’s not a legal requirement to tell your partner.
It’s done on the NHS.

@Jodami @aby It's not a legal requirement in the US or Canada either. Doctors do this insanely mysoginistic thing either way.

@aby I was pretty pissed off when I needed to give my consent for my wife to get this procedure. Her body, her choice. I may have asked what kind of handmaid's tale society we were living in to give me autonomy over her body.

@aby I should not be surprised, but here we are again having to work around the misogyny inherent to the medical system.Refusing healthcare to an adult in favor of their partner's wishes should get one's license pulled, dammit.
