The situation at the Texas border continues to be deeply alarming. Governor Greg Abbott's inhumane measures, targeting innocent migrants, demand immediate attention. @georgetakei Abbot told Biden "See you in court". Were I Biden I would say "Court? I'll just send the Army Corps of Engineers to remove your trash and take the cost out of $$ we send to your state."

I'm trying to figure out why no one has demanded Abbott provide evidence of significantly higher crime committed by people who are here illegally to justify the tactics & expense he is costing the state to keep them out.

I'd be willing to bet there's No significant increase in crime committed by people who crossed the border on foot vs "drug cartels" who pass through LEGAL ports of call. (Certainly not enough to justify the expense/cruelty.)

@georgetakei beyond our Texas outrageous, grandstanding inhumane govenor 1) how much wa$ted Texas taxpayer $$$,$$$ 2) who r the companies received contract to purchase & install buoys & razor wire? 3) he has pulled dps from rural counties that now have shortages of law enforcement. 😠
