#UNESCO Condemns russian Strike on Ukraine’s #Odesa

@EugeneMcParland Extraordinarily, it also represents violence against the cultural history of Russia, including damage to a cathedral founded by Catherine the Great. One can only conclude that Russia has given up all hope of winning this war.

@wndlb But that’s the point. Ostensively, Putin wants Ukraine to become part of Russia again. If that happens, Odessa and all its heritage will belong to the ā€œmotherlandā€. Why would you destroy your own heritage, unless you were convinced you’ll never get it back?
