China’s railways are book to ride on the high speed and are generally full up at a good price point that is vastly cheaper than air so given the dispersal of people it’s well supported. That is the major issue the UK needs to address. Trains are expensive. To build, run and use. Obviously @seatsixtyone is the guru on that.
