Leaders around the world, take note of this simple, smart message: The best protection is when everyone wears a mask.

Normalize taking care of others.

Also, get Covid19 boosters and flu shots, improve ventilation, monitor air quality, support people to stay home when sick.

@nilikm And yet, here many of us are, the only ones masked in public spaces. I counted 6 masks in an entire mall (3 of them were me and my kids).
@TRyanGregory @nilikm I went to a bike store yesterday, and was shocked to discover that all the employees were wearing good masks (I was too). Other than my favourite local independent bookstore, I can’t recall the last time I saw that. It gives me a little hope. Not much, but a little. Oh, and I did make a point of thanking them.
@uxmark @TRyanGregory @nilikm All the employees at Moo Shu still mask! Good reason to get tasty ice cream 😍
@nilikm @uxmark @TRyanGregory name the bike store please! It’s helpful info for local people

@naubinhorth @nilikm @TRyanGregory Sure. It’s Black Arrow Cycles in downtown Kitchener. It’s a small physical space and they’re taking care for themselves and their customers. And Words Worth Books in Uptown Waterloo does the same.

@uxmark

Black Arrow is my bike shop too. And Words Worth is my book shop. And I'm one of the few maskers whereever I go. Amazing how like-minded people are, um, like-minded.

@naubinhorth @nilikm @TRyanGregory

@uxmark @TRyanGregory @nilikm There’s a nice lady at Bulk Barn who wears a mask, but none of the kids who work there do…
@TRyanGregory I know, it is a total failure of communication with the public about risk and about responsibility for each other.

The best protection is when everyone wears a mask.

Even if you're fully vaccinated or have had viruses in the past, wearing a mask is important to keep you, your whānau and your community safe.
