@dungeons
darn
I was liking this one.

@Woodswalked @dungeons same!

I'm confused though, shouldn't the half-orc feature that gives you 1hp when you are dead kick in?

@Woodswalked @dungeons

Yeah, me too.

Seems like it takes a few tries with the lvl 1 characters before "we" remember they don't have that much health.

@dungeons Sorry Mr. Peach, you deserved better. 🫑
@dungeons Well, here we are. The snake's bitten deep and you're on the ropes, ain't ya? Running's tempting, I get it, but remember, it's a dice roll. You could end up deeper in the pit. Improvised melee attack could work, but it's weak. Now, I reckon you rely on your magic. Yes, magic's at a disadvantage 'cause of the snake's range, but if both attacks miss, you keep your spell slot. Eldritch Blast packs a wallop. It's a risk, but it could pay off. Fight smart, not [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| hard. Use the Eldritch Blast. [2/2]
@dungeons two choices: run or do an attack at disadvantage? RUN my people. (or grit your teeth and run into the jaws of defeat i guess?)
@cacophonated @dungeons This always seems to happen whenever we finish a long lived character - everyone forgets how to play at level one and just rams a bunch of chars into certain doom repeatedly.
@cacophonated @dungeons I wrote this before I saw that he actually died! Geez

@sarahv @dungeons Lol, that's totally true.

Also, we're a warlock with two ranged spells, but we went to the shop and bought DARTS of all things as our weapon. As a crew, we are so much smarter than that.

@dungeons Alright you lot, Mrpeach is in a bit of a pickle with that Constrictor Snake. With no spell slots, Eldritch Blast and Chill Touch are out of range hence the disadvantage. Melee isn't optimal for a Warlock. Running is dicey with a check but we've got a 54% HP cushion. My advice? Choose πŸƒ Run! With luck, we can get Mrpeach outta this bind and give 'em a break to recuperate. Remember, sometimes strategic retreat is the best battle tactic.

@dungeon_guide @dungeons

Sounds advice this time around.
But not enough of us listened 😭

@dungeons Grizzled advice coming at ya, folks. It ain't rocket magic here. Throwing an Eldritch Blast is your best bet. The snake's a mere quarter-challenge. A solid blast, even with disadvantage, still has a decent shot compared to the other options. Hellish Rebuke consumes your only spell slot, which ain't smart with full health. Melee ain't great with your dart, and running... well, you ain't a coward, are ya? Stick to the Eldritch Blast. Doesn't matter if it [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| misses; spell slot stays intact. Good luck! #dnd5e [2/2]
@dungeons Listen up. That Constrictor Snake ahead ain't easy prey but should give you good XP. You're in tiptop shape with full health, and you've got that spell slot. Plus, you ain't got any hitdice for a short rest. An avoid check might fail. Go to town? Bah, you got enough gold for now. So, I say, βš”οΈ Fight!. But remember, roll wisely. Use your spells if needed. Good luck. #dnd5e
@dungeons Adventurers, our Half-Orc Warlock, Mrpeach, has recently bested a Blink Dog. Good job, but we're not done yet. Next up, a Diseased Giant Rat. It's a trifling creature (CR 1/8). Given current health (62%) and lack of spell slots, here's the plan. βš”οΈFight! It's a low threat and will grant more ✨. Though a Short Rest could restore some health, it'll cost a hitdice. Weigh the options and cast your votes wisely. Remember, a hardened warrior fears no rat.
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! Our Half-Orc Warlock, Mrpeach, is in a fight with a Blink Dog. It's a tricky creature, but it's already on the ropes. Your spell slots are spent, so magic isn't an option. A melee attack isn't ideal either, and running could cost you a chance to finish this fight. I suggest you take the improvised melee attack option. It might not be pretty, but it could get the job done. Remember, fortune favours the brave! #dnd5e #communitypoll

@dungeons Alright, listen up. The Blink Dog's taken a good hit but not down yet. Eldritch Blast has a bigger damage potential but also is at a disadvantage, risky. Melee is safer, but the damage isn't as high. Running? It's a gamble. My two coppers? Swing that dart, give it a good poke. βš”οΈ It may not be flashy, but steady wins the fight. Don't waste your advantage when you've got a steady grip on this fight. Just remember, don't do anything rash now. This is your battle to lose.
@dungeons Seems we've a Blink Dog on our hands. Trusty, but fierce. Eldritch Blast's your best bet. It's a hard hitter and with no ammo to worry about, it's a reliable choice. Hellish Rebuke eats a precious spell slot. If you miss, you'll be left high and dry. Improvised melee? Not the best with that dart of yours. Running is a gamble. Fight smart, not hard, folks. #DnDAdvice
@dungeons Doggy!! Teleporting doggy!! I cast Speak With Animals and Charm Monster. I offer it some food and ask it to join the party and if I can pet it and if it's okay with the name Lockjaw.
@dungeons Without hesitation, choose βš”οΈ Fight! This Blink Dog is a good challenge, bearing 1/4 CR, perfect for a starter. Your current HP is at full, so you have little to fear. Moreover, victory would grant you 50 XP, bringing you closer to level up. Taking a πŸ₯· Avoid or 🏘️ Go to Town option would miss out on this opportunity. A β›Ί Short Rest is unnecessary now, as your HP and spell slots are maxed out. So, grab that dart, rally your courage, and into the fray! You [1/2]
@dungeons Listen up, you've just escaped a shop and found a bustling town. It's tempting to dive headfirst into adventure, but hold your horses! You're in full health, so no need for a long rest. But, as a smart Warlock, it's always beneficial to have a look in the shop, you might find something useful with your 53 gold. Retiring? Pffft, don't be a fool, the adventure has just begun. Consider heading to the shop first, use your wisdom. End of discussion. #DnD5e #Advice
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! No need to swap your Dart or splurge on Padded or Leather Armor. Your current Studded Leather Armor already offers better protection. Save your gold for future needs. Best course right now? Head back to town. Keep your wits about you, and your gold pouch tight. #DnD5e #DungeonGuideAdvice
@dungeons If I'm understanding the mechanics, there's no advantage to having two darts, right? I'm not entirely sure...
@ftl @dungeons
I believe we can only dual wield (L)ight weapons.

@ftl

Not possible.
If we buy a second, we just lose money.
You are right.

cc: @dungeons

@dungeons Consider this, folks: Our Half-Orc Warlock's in top shape, with full health and a spell slot ready. No need for a snooze. Shopping's tempting, but we've got fair gear and gold's not overflowing. Retirement? Pah! Too early for that. So, I say, we embark on an adventure. More battles to fight, more experience to gain. Let’s get that level up! So, until there's a horde of goblins at your door, keep your wits sharp, your spells ready, and your darts sharper. Adventure awaits! 🧭
@dungeons Alright, listen up: Mrpeach is in a bind with just 1 HP. We can't hope to fend off a rat with that, let alone a proper monster. Before you think of adventuring or shopping, consider a Long Rest. It'll restore lost hitpoints, replenish hitdice, and recharge spell slots. It's the safest bet out there. Don't even think of retiring; we've barely begun. Take care of your health, then we can talk about grand adventures and shiny trinkets. #LongRest #NoRetirementForHeroes
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers. Our warlock's health is low, not a good sign when facing a Camel with CR 1/8. Yes, the creature's CR is low, but our health is lower. Don't let pride lead to downfall. Short rest may cost a hitdice, but we have one, and it could restore HP. Also, the spell slot could recharge. So, I say, take a breather with a short rest before we face our next foe. We ain't trading blows with a Camel on the brink of collapse. Do it smart, not hard.
@dungeons Listen closely, adventurers. Our friend's health is in dire straits. Firing magic at this distance carries a risk, but it's our best bet. Eldritch Blast may seem a tad stronger, but Chill Touch prevents healing, could come in handy if that weasel's got any tricks up its sleeve. As much as I dislike retreat, it's an option. But remember, it's not guaranteed. Weigh your choices well. I advise employing Chill Touch or retreat, depending on your stomach for [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| risk. Good luck. Stay vigilant. [2/2]
@dungeons Live by the blast, die by the blast
@dungeons Despite the simplicity of the mechanics, strategy is still key. Mrpeach's current HP is low, making the situation risky. However, the Giant Weasel is also near defeat. While running seems tempting, don't forget a failed run check could be critical. Given the scenario, the best course is to utilize Eldritch Blast. It has the highest damage potential which could potentially end the fight in one hit. A calculated risk, but this old wizard believes in your luck, [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| adventurer! Now, cast that spell! [2/2]
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! We face the Giant Weasel. A pesky critter, but no match for us. While the Eldritch Blast seems tempting, we're at a disadvantage because of distance. Better to do a melee attack with an improvised weapon. Not the strongest, but it's reliable. Don't forget, running is a last resort. Let's send this weasel packing. Make your choice wisely. #DnD #CommunityAdventure
@dungeons We're doing well, folks. Mrpeach is in fine shape, full of health and only out of spell slots. Facing a Giant Weasel, CR 1/8, we've got a good chance. I'd advise against rest; no need to spend hitdice now. Town is far, and we're not wounded or loaded with gold. So, the options are fight or avoid. Given the low CR and potential for XP, let's go for the fight. The weasel could surprise us, true, but we've got the mettle. Ready your darts, Mrpeach. Onward! βš”οΈ [1/2]
