Here’s my #mastodon mobile setup of choice for the moment. Two apps unfortunately.

Daily Driver: #icecubesapp
Covers all capabilities except convenient threading. It’s the most robust iOS app for Mastodon Which I’ve found personally. The Dev’s philosophy is also nicely aligned with the spirit of the #Fediverse as well 👍.

For Writing Threaded Posts:
I’m using #MetatextApp

(#icecubesapp please 🙏 add threading?)

Which #Mastodon app best balances looks, speed, & functionality? My findings so far: Mastadon iOS - Fast, pretty, has edit capability, but strips animation from GIFs. Ice Cubes - Beautiful, customizable, ai shorten text & translation, supports Gifs, fast, great poll options, but no auto threading for longer posts. MetaText iOS - Fast, pretty, has GIF animation, but no post editing; only post deletion. 1/3 #fediverse #ios #icecubesapp #metatext #mastoot #mammoth #tooot #ivory #monaapp

@MindCreatesMeaning Thanks, I'll check out MetatextApp for the threading. Agreed, wish IceCubes had it...or just the web version for that matter.

@RyanWelsh you’ll find threading when you compose a new toot.

Look for the plus ➕ icon in the lower right corner. Simply tap it and continue with your train of thought without the need to publish, then click, click, click just to respond to yourself.

#MetatextApp makes it sooo smooth and seamless.

On web version? Not seeing that on my server, doesn't even pop up once I go over. Just attachments, poll, visibility, CW, lang, and char count, with Publish beneath.

@RyanWelsh I’m in the iOS app (screenshot), I didn’t know they had a web version until you mentioned it.
@MindCreatesMeaning Oh I think you're talking about the Metatext app. Grabbing it to check that out now.
