I've got four huge software and development projects that are 90% finished and this is what it feels like.....

It always feels like this right before everything comes together.

@jeff

So, in a month or so, you may have one ready to test?

@jeff Sometimes we're invited visit big telecom data centre's and I'm always excited to see how the real pros do it. And then I usually find out they're way more kludgey than we are. One time I had a block of 1600 DID's go dark, I called the upstream telecom and the guy was like "oops unplugged a cable...." Anyway your pictures remind me of those incidents.

@mike

Thankfully it's been a while since I've had to make a datacenter visit but I've long found that the standards at "telecom DCs" are often shall we say... lackadaisical.

I recall taking an inspection tour of a telecom datacenter in Miami that shall not be named.

During the tour the DC manager pointed to a rack and said.. "Were tier-1, see that rack? That's MagicJack"

It looked something very similar to this... right down to the wire nuts.

@jeff Wow! Jelly beans at the DC! I haven't actually seen one in years.
@jeff
The last 10% of a software project takes 50% of the work.
