@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen this is getting better and better

@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen Hang on, what? Seriously, somebody at Meta said that?

LOL, nobody invited them, but they decide what music we play at our party?

@zorangrbic @halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen for clarity, this seems to be the source of the quote, and the poster confirms downthread that it is not from meta.

also, with any other phrasing, this would be a no-brainer? an instance that forbids adult content would defederate from an instance that regularly put adult content on the federated timeline. of course they would, it violates their moderation policies! and that's not inherently a bad thing! in your analogy, defederating an instance is like stating "i'm not going to this party because i don't like the music." what makes it terrible is assuming that the open-to-the-public party desperately wants your presence, and framing your absence as a threat.

"With Meta joining the Fediverse, instance administrators will need to abide by Meta's content policies, or risk being defederated" hahahahaha hahahahahahahahahaha https://mastodon.social/@alexeheath/110596243633900945

unstable.systems Mastodon (Glitch Edition)
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen Local corporation learns how instance TOS’ work
@halotroop2288 The F logo is Frendica. Great upgrade though lol
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen I love this except the middle finger should be about two orders of magnitude larger
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen who would even say such a stupid thing? "Meta's content policies" ??? It's like saying "Sarlacc's dietary restrictions"...
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen "risk being defederared?" More like meta risk being defederated by joining fediverse

@halotroop2288, yours is definitely my preferred.

Sorry to @skye and @Glitchyeen .

@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen
À part mastodon et peertube, c'est quoi les autres applications ?
@celtillos They're listed in the alt text (hover over the image).
PeerTube, Friendica, Mastodon, PixelFed, Calckey.
@halotroop2288
Sorry, I forgot to look at it.
Thank you
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen The wonders of collaboration, quite fitting considering the subject
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen If any instance admin did not hard defederate with Meta I would be disappointed in them.
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen @dirtybirdseiko I get people are memeing on this, but isn’t this how all of the fediverse works? If an instance is out of step with the policies of your instance, it gets blocked.
@vic The difference is, we don't give a fuck about Meta's policies.
@halotroop2288 And I also don’t give a fuck about the policies of a lot of other instances. There is nothing special here.
@vic You aren't the instance admin, so you don't have to care.
Instance admins have to take care to respect the rules of other instances they want to federate with. An instance that gets cut off from most of the world isn't as much fun to browse.
But Meta is one that nobody is going to want to give that respect to.
Them making some big announcement about de-federation as if it's something they thought of is just laughable. So here we are, making fun of them.
@halotroop2288 I am an instance admin (just not this account or instance).

@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen

"Abide by our rules or we block you"
"Here, let me make that easier for you"

Honestly, I'm disappointed in every instance admin who still federates with meta/facebook. Can't wait for the inevitable massive data breach on meta/facebook instances. Their track record have proven that their data security is simply some of the worst out there

This one is really doing numbers.

This is like the third huge wave of boosts so far.

Oop it's doing the rounds again.
@halotroop2288 @skye @Glitchyeen okay, I think I know all of the services on the right, with the exception being the CG( ? ) looking one. Now I'm curious.
