Teachers can only deduct $250 in school supplies on their taxes, but billionaire Harlon Crow can write off his super yacht.😐

Why? Because millionaire politicians funded by billionaires & corporations write tax law for billionaires. We need a Congress for working people—not the .1%

This is yet another reason why my run for US Congress is 100% people funded. We need public servants accountable to people, not corporate funded politicians accountable to billionaires.

@QasimRashid the wild part as a non American is the fact that teachers need to spend their own money on school supplies
@tafadzwa @QasimRashid Believe me— Americans think it’s crazy too. It wasn’t always like this. Schools were better funded in the 1960s and 70s. In the 80s, funding for public education and educators started to slide.
@batyalee @tafadzwa @QasimRashid seems like Reagan cut funding for everything in the eighties and republicans still don’t understand why that’s a bad thing to do.
@frankmseattle @batyalee @QasimRashid insane behaviour for such a rich country
@tafadzwa @batyalee @QasimRashid Agreed. There should be no homeless or hungry in America. Unfortunately we have a system that’s given the minority power over the majority, and that minority has retained the puritanical nonsense idea that being homeless/hungry/poor is a personal moral failing and not a systemic failure.
