Matt Stinewe lose power enough in this area that my UPS investments have paid off in consistently cleanly powered down hardware … especially when the power flips 3-5x in like 30 seconds. What a dumpster fire.

At the time, I was unimpressed thinking that was their job and should be a minimum expected level of competence. Now that I live in the US, I have a much better appreciation for how good Ontario Hydro was in comparison.
My UPS's get enough use that I've replaced the batteries in some of them multiple times.
