or is it more just for demonstrative purposes against targets? :)

I started shooting myself because I don't like guns but wanted to be at least marginally useful if society completely collapses, lol

That being said, I'd found it strangely meditative to practice. Breathe in as I raise the bow, breathe out as I draw, and release. My best shots are invariably when I focus on my breathing and stop worrying about aiming.

@8bitarcher @Texan_Reverend @ldottxt @warboss5 Yeah, we've got a poundage limit of 35lbs, and all our arrows are tipped with rubber bungs, which aren't allowed to go over actual sharp points for obvious reasons. Blunts are blunts and sharps are sharps and never the two shall be in the same damn quiver :P

@bassios jaha! In which case I do indeed have a relevant bow in my collection! Busy at work ATM but I'll fish it out later for a picture. A Viking era styled selfbow!

I've found it remarkably fun to just go out and shoot, even without any sort of formal training. I'm lucky that there's a park with a sizable archery range only about 10 minutes from my apartment.

@RavynWitch @bassios @Texan_Reverend @ldottxt @warboss5 awesome! Finding a local group is a massive win, you'll often get a much more engaging coaching session as well as the opportunity to join an established community should it be something which pokes the right buttons for you. :D
