Yo #searnxg is working out pretty good. I mean I gotta think about searching on it, but other than that.. It's pretty dope! The docs have you install NGINX and/or Apache when installing it outside of docker ( i'm on this no container kick, ask me about it). However, in docker they use caddy in which I'm currently using.. I'm wondering if I can just use that and proxy it over..

@train Why the no container kick? ๐Ÿ‘€

@danstewart_ I don't know man! Latly I just want to actually see the things run! Go through the pain of setting it all up! Not just do a docker run or a docker-compose! Feels like we are losing that part of it all.

Also it feels like we are creating containers and using them as vm's.

@train Fair enough, no wrong answers for hobby stuff.

I like containers for the reason you avoid them, I like being able to easily get some new software running and start using it, but agree you then miss out on the fun of getting it running yourself.

@danstewart_ That's where it gets me a little upset is when something breaks and because we are so used to the abstraction we can't fix it oursleves.. I don't know.. Maybe it will pass, I'm sure it will.. our world is run by containers.
@train I think it helps that I work with containers for development work too so itโ€™s a little less abstract. Yeah, no way away from them, for good or for bad.
