Honestly if been thinking the same thing myself. That feeling will likely come back some when it’s showed off again and it’s actually available to purchase, but I’m just not super interested in the Vision Pro right now. Even if I scrape together the $3,499+ it’s going to cost, I’m still not sure how I would even use it day to day.

If the Vision Pro was available to purchase as soon as it was shown off I’d almost certainly have found the money and justified the expense. The further away from the presentation I get, however, the less interest I have. Aside from how sick it makes me feel, I hate wearing the Meta Quest. It just feels restrictive hanging off my head. I also don’t want to do *any* of the things Apple demoed you could do in the thing.

I’m just thinking about how I use computers, fwiw.

My day job is 8 hours every weekday. No headset for that since I can’t use personal devices (besides, are Figma and web apps going to be awesome in it? I doubt it right now.)

After work I hang out with my wife or see people. I use my phone/computer, but wouldn’t use the headset with other people around.

Honestly all I can think of are the couple hours I wake up early on weekends and watch a movie or two. That’s something, but not a ton.

@matt The only normal person use case I can think of is someone who travels an absurd amount for work who would make use of it on planes, and even then it’s probably too awkward or the battery won’t last long enough.
@wickedgood True! Although I’m the sort of person who doesn’t have keep ANC on all the time when I’m flying so I don’t miss someone needing to get up or something (which may be irrational but 🤷🏼‍♂️)
@matt Yeah, I’m just thinking about people who use sleep masks on planes today
