UPDATE:

Zoom Video and Zoom Info are TWO DIFFERENT companies. Sorry everyone.

Still not a bad idea to get out of their database however.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is Zoom's privacy policy. It is an amazing piece of legal engineering granting them the rights to buy, sell, and gather just about any data about business users they want -- including listing you in a Business or Professional Profile (the "directory"):
This is their form to opt-out of all tracking in their database which they use to sell your information to 3rd parties. Somewhat ironically, this page won't work unless you turn-off Privacy Badger and Ghostery web browser plug-ins:
If you use Zoom at work through a business account and don't wish to be listed, consider opting out. They are also collecting information from around the Web outside of Zoom apparently to help build out your profile.
ZoomInfo
@admin @psychology @socialwork @psychiatry @psychotherapists @chris Not that it's good, but hopefully you realize that ZoomInfo (the company you linked) has nothing to do with Zoom the video call software, right?
@admin @psychology @socialwork @psychiatry @psychotherapists ZoomInfo and Zoom Video are two different companies.
Good catch. I'll start retracting this.
@admin @psychology @socialwork @psychiatry @psychotherapists To make things extra confusing, there’s a Zoom that makes recording equipment and Xoom which does overseas money transfer. #doomed
mkb -- Yeah, I was especially confused because Zoom Info bothered to send me an unsolicited email about their new privacy policy for BUSINESS USERS and how to opt out. WHY? I have never done any business with them. NO other data mining scumbag company has ever sent me such a courtesy email. I figured they had to be Zoom Video whom I DO business with. Drats.
@mkb @psychology @socialwork @psychiatry @psychotherapists
@admin Sounds like they’re trying to be careful about following #GDPR which is a pleasant surprise considering the business they are in.
Under GDPR are several lawful reasons for them to hold and use your data but consent is in some ways the safest bet.
(And yes, there are lots of wrinkles here with out opt-in vs opt-out as well as differences in the law between jurisdictions.)
