Banksy, Salford Quays, U.K.
The photo above was from the outside of 'The Art of Banksy' exhibition held at Media City, Salford Quays, U.K.
I didn't go inside.
£20 a ticket to see a private collection of artworks not approved by Banksy himself? I don't think so.
Just in case you were tempted to go to the Art of Banksy exhibition in Salford and pay £20 to see a private collection of works not approved by Banksy himself, it finished last week.
What, do you think I'd be posting about it while it was still on? I don't think so.

If you are an art lover, and are in Salford Quays, U.K. you can head over to the Lowry museum and view his iconic 'Going to the match', recently saved from going in to private hands.
Admission is free so I will advertise this all day long

I immediately had to go and listen to "Matchstalk Men":

It was originally going to be called "Lowry's song", but the studio insisted they change it because "nobody knows who that is"!

Mike Harding once retreated me on Twitter and it made the whole thing worthwhile. He must have been down my street, cos he painted kids with nowt on their feet.
@ProjectFearlessness I can't say I know much about Banksy, but what I do know suggests that such an exhibition is *very* un-Banksy.
@StarkRG Banksy hates this exhibition but he can't stop it. It's run by a group of private collectors of his works who tour this exhibit all round the world, charging lots of money. It's the polar opposite of a Banksy. I made sure the exhibition had finished before I posted this photo from the outside. It's still a great Banksy quote.
@ProjectFearlessness It feels a bit like Amazon sticking DRM on the digital version of The Cathedral And The Bazaar or Corey Doctorow's books (which, of course, they do because Amazon's basically a god now and they get to do whatever they want)
@ProjectFearlessness I love this message. I wish I could create art that disturbed the comfortable. I disturb myself and hopefully that will do for now.
