@careyhelmick when I took him downstairs to talk I explained to him that we couldn't give in because it would incentivize him to negotiate like this in the future, to which he reassured me he "is only going to make this deal once." So at that point I told him if he tried to make that kind of deal we wouldn't let him play video games for a week and that taught him to see things differently real quick.
