I went looking at the CloudFlare domain rankings to see how Twitter.com was doing. A few days ago it was around #40 worldwide. But I thought the individual country numbers in the most popular countries might be interesting.
Today Worldwide: #41
USA: #61 (below office.net and moatads.com ?)
Canada: #72 (amazon.ca is 76)
Brazil: #71 (linkedin.com is 74)
Germany: Outside top 100! (Whoops Nz?)
Japan: #23 (Still hanging on above instagram!)
UK: #64 just below Skype
Oh! By the way, I found a Dec 2022 Cloudflare report that said Twitter was tied with iCloud, Netflix and Yahoo as the 10th busiest domains. What about Mastodon you say? Well, I’m glad you asked.
“Aggregating the domain names used by 400 top Mastodon instances, this cohort started the year hovering around the #200 rank …. [with] an inflection point in November, moving up about 60 positions.”
Looks like #150 worldwide in Dec 2022? What will it be this December!?
