@trendless Even if you somehow go through all the trouble of getting a valid medical note (which is ridiculous) you still have to wear a company provided N95: probably a very bad fit, so no good seal. Unless the medical note explicitly states you can wear a different/your own mask?

There's just no way to avoid infection when working there.

@begrudging_recluse @trendless yeah, the β€œcompany-provided N95” is SUPER suspicious.

@IPEdmonton @begrudging_recluse time to crowd fund some PAPRs for some INO employees..

To say nothing about how it's clearly ok with them to expose customers to sick cashier and *food prep* employees

@trendless @novid still never had in & out. I guess I’ll never know how it is

@trendless Thinking about how many of us covid cautious people have been worrying and predicting mask bans in important, essential places for a long time. I was even confused that it wasn't happening yet for a while. Turns out companies are just waiting for laws to be passed to protect them from any consequences a mask ban will result in. Sigh, of course.

Now it's just waiting to see how far this will go, both in North America and on other continents, in the upcoming months or years. 😬

Killing remote work and then banning masks at work places sure is a nice way to get us some new exciting variants. 😭

"ThE eCoNoMy" > people

Or, more truthfully:

Greedy hoarders > the individuals whose producing, selling, buying, and consuming is entirely responsible for civilization's continued existence

@trendless @novid

I mean, what do you expect from a company that prints bible verses on their packaging?

@trendless @novid excuse me??? This reads like satire but ik there's probably some truth to it

Interesting that they are not applying this to California and Oregon.
