Thou shalt never, ever, ever complain that Deutsche Bahn's online tools are bad until you have tried making Renfe's website do anything at all. It's such a pile of complete and total abject shit. In comparison Deutsche Bahn's digital services are like some wonderful Neuland.

Sitting comfortably in a fast and clean train that is just a little too full or a few minutes late, surrounded by indignant conversations about how terribly run the rail service is, how greedy and mismanaged; listening to strangers swap stories of travel chaos, while others tut-tut and nod along... that's the moment I know I'm back in Germany.
This phenomenon quite comforting really in its dependability. I really can't imagine DB with happy passengers. That would be so weird.
