It already hitting the Amazon. #climatechange is real. We're watching it in real time. There's an old Chinese curse that I hear quoted by idiots that don't know that it's a curse (Elon for one). paraphrasing here.

In the 2011 heatwave/drought we lost a third of the trees in Houston. It's already happening.

@BigJesusTrashcan I'm up near Ft. Worth, we recently moved into a house. I've been gardening as hard as I can to get our soil built up. My Corn plants tasselled early because of the overnight heat, watermelons are splitting before ripening, and my Sudex (which is supposed to be heat tolerant) is seeding early because it's stressed.

I was pondering what kind of trees I could grow to limit the direct sunlight earlier today and I definitely questioned the max temp they could take.
