If you land at Frankfurt Airport โœˆ๏ธ you can travel by rail ๐Ÿš† to basically all of Germany, Benelux, and half of Switzerland in less than 5 hours.

Basically no time savings taking a connecting flight in the coloured region.

@dmoser But anything elese in that airport is poorly designed. I recalled back in the 2018 the queuing amd wayfinding were not efficient and it was the first airport that I ever had to โ€œrunโ€. Two staffs not saying the same thing etc.
@kkavee I ve seen worse - depends on which terminal you end up and where you need to go. Itโ€™s so huge.
@dmoser @JulieEmery Also Liechtenstein. :) I know because I caught a train and bus from Frankfurt to Vaduz in 2019.
@dmoser Nice visualization! Do you have a similar one for Schiphol Amsterdam Airport?
@erwinrossen @dmoser Iโ€™m also interested in your source. So far I only know this website https://direkt.bahn.guru/?origin=8400561 there you get all via *direct* connections reachable destinations from any train station in Europe.

@dmoser Should be similar for Zurich I guess.
But this is still not a good reason to ever land at Frankfurt Airport.
@dmoser Ive learned so much about Europe this week
Brain hurt
@dmoser this output thanks to https://direkt.bahn.guru for the curious
