This is exactly the kind of society the reactionary majority on the Supreme Court wants: Every business in the country gets to claim they are engaging in expressive behavior and then discriminate against whatever protected group they don’t like - because “free speech.”

This is going to get so much worse, and fast. There is absolutely no limiting principle in Gorsuch’s opinion: It just opens the door for discrimination in the public square based on identity - any identity, really.

If these businesses are operating without any kind of limitations to the proprietors, then "whatever" then it's essentially a person to person transaction where "my beliefs" are of arguable relevance. But absent direct liability, it seems beyond suspect to say that personal beliefs are on the line: the
business is conducting the transaction, not the person conducting the sale.
