@caseyliss @foodnoms I hate MyFitnessPal but haven't liked any of the other apps I've tried better. I just bought a subscription to FoodNoms based on your recommendation, so I will forever hold you accountable if I don't like it!

@ksbex oh please don’t give @caseyliss a hard time. Bother me. I welcome feedback 😊

It’s ok if it doesn’t end up working out for you. I’d be curious to hear your experience after giving it a try!

@foodnoms @caseyliss So far I really like the ability to scan a nutrition label to automagically enter the data for a new food. That's awesome! But I'm disappointed in the search abilities. The top hit for "fish taco" was a salmon filet.
@ksbex Hey Kevin – I just responded to your email, but wanted to reply here as well. I made a tweak to the search engine, and now it shows fish taco as the first result. Thanks for reporting the issue!
@foodnoms thanks for the quick reply!
@caseyliss @foodnoms I love foodnoms, I just wish there was a way to get integrations with the wider fitness landscape. Myfitnesspal is so ubiquitous and integrates with nearly every vendor.
@mruszczyk @caseyliss if it integrates with Apple Health, you should be good to go. But beyond that, you’re right. I’m curious, what integration(a) are you particularly interested in?

@foodnoms @caseyliss The biggest one for me is Garmin Connect. They are their own walled garden and won’t bring in health data from Apple Health, but will write into Apple Health.

Also TrainingPeaks is popular as a platform for collaborating on your fitness with professional trainers. It will read data from Apple Health but that does not include any nutrition data. Just workout data.

@foodnoms @caseyliss Those are the two that I’d like to see because I use those products. I don’t know about other vendors. MFP is just so ubiquitous that if something has a nutrition component there’s likely a way to pull that data from MFP.
