Our outfits contain BPA, PFAS and other dangerous substances – but we still know little about their cumulative impact

I wash new clothes before wearing them, and I quit buying/wearing dry clean only clothing decades ago. I wear only 100% cotton or cotton blend fabrics. There are fabrics and dyes that give me rashes. I can't wear anything with "Coolmax" moisture-wicking lining (no matter how many times I wash it) without breaking out in hives.
