So, what’s the best Evernote alternative now? Last time I looked around, nothing convinced. Needs robust sync and cross device support. Prefer not to be tied into one of the big tech company accounts/user ids. In the past have looked at: Bear, Apple Notes, Joplin, Notion, OneNote… etc. Recommendations? Evernote has laid off most of its US staff and will move most operations to Europe

Evernote parent company Bending Spoons said its layoff of most of its Chilean and US staff and shift to Europe would boost efficiency and take advantage of the Bending Spoons brand.

@ianfogg Honestly, OneNote. It's a big tech account, and the tabbed interface is in flux, but Microsoft supports it across every platform.
@greengart The problem I have with OneNote is 1/ I do not like the ux 2/ I have more than one Microsoft account, and
OneNote does not support that well....
@ianfogg I do, too. Ended up using my personal account for everything OneNote. There's more setup every time I switch platforms, but I haven't found a platform that isn't supported, so that's a big plus for me.
