@amaditalks I hadn't. Maybe some teen influencers could push the other online books resources out there.

Books Unbanned | Brooklyn Public Library

In April 2022, Brooklyn Public Library joined those fighting for the rights of teens nationwide to read what they like, discover themselves, and form their own opinions. Inspired by the American Library Association's Freedom to Read Statement, Books Unbanned is a response to an increasingly coordinated and effective effort to remove books from library shelves.

@Nazani Mississippi prepared for that, by banning access to the *apps* that libraries use to lend e-books, unless there’s parental consent. Mind you, a 16-year-old can consent to sex without parental approval, but needs an adult’s okay to read.

Those with a bit of savvy will figure out ways, ARR. But the vast majority won't because they're restricted from the skills that can get them around this. Those who are disadvantaged will only become more disadvantaged.#CoryDoctrow should get another one of his free books out there that talks about how to handle this. Bonus points if the plot kicks.
