Yessssss! That's been the reason why I've still kept another not taking app around.
@maxbittker Well... just a text editor app, plain text.
- Instant load time, don't have to wait to type (especially useful for writing things down in-conversation)
- Doesn't keep my last document open (so just one tap, and I'm ready to write)
ie. just "one tap and I can instantly write".
Imagine this: You talk with a friend and she tells you a nice thought. "Wait, let me pull up Obsidian, wait 1s, switch to a good document to note this down and then write it."
@maxbittker
Now imagine: You talk with a friend and she tells you a nice thought. "Wait, let me just write this down." While you clicked the tile/launcher icon/whatever and already wrote "Name:".

I don't care that I have to clean the "quick dump" document up afterwards at a computer (thanks, Obsidian Sync).
I also don't care if I only have a basic text line input field, I don't need no fancy MD in that moment.
But I do care that I saved the 3 seconds startup time and had a chance to non-awkwardly capture the idea.
