Sometimes, I like to imagine an alternate reality where #BeOS and #RISCOS became the dominant computing platforms instead of MacOS and Windows.
@Cloudscout I wish CP/M had become the dominant OS. It was starting to have some interesting developments as it was dying.
@ukscone @Cloudscout Most of the people who were doing interesting things with CP/M around ~1993 seemed to move on to DOS systems or out of computing entirely around 1994-5.
@mos_8502 @Cloudscout There was just no money in doing CP/M stuff after then as everyone was moving to PCs. i supported a few things a bit longer but as my customers started dumping their CP/M systems & it was during my "I'm burnt out & I hate computers & computer people" period i didn't keep up with what was happening until 97ish by which time there wwere more interesting things than OSs
