Sometimes, I like to imagine an alternate reality where #BeOS and #RISCOS became the dominant computing platforms instead of MacOS and Windows.

@Cloudscout I like to imagine a world where computing stayed niche, and CP/M-86 was the dominant OS for PC, with the GEM GUI.

Or one where Commodore stayed in the PC clone business, but used the Amiga graphics chipset in a PC clone, and payed Microsoft to make Windows drivers for it, so they had the best platform for Windows, while still undercutting most other retailers.
