Judy Schmidt@alice I'm convinced that all infrared farts are fake because I've never been able to see breath or air currents with my camera. If I boil some water I can just barely see some steam coming out of it. There has to be a vapor component for it to be seen.
Legally Distinct Basilisk@spacegeck @alice they absolutely are and this one is no different. There's just not enough density to a fart for it to register above the ambient to a thermal camera. Especially in this case where the temperature of the fart is apparently so much higher than everything else. At best what you might capture is a hot spot on a surface being warmed up by the fart, such as on the pants.
