I’ve been having some mild jaw pain (TMJ) and my dentist recommended as a first line of treatment to ice for 20 minutes, rest for 20 minutes, heat for 20 minutes. If I do both sides alternating (so I don’t need two ice/hot packs) that’s a solid hour and 20 of holding something to my head. I have a strap thing I can use, but it’s also awkward and annoying.

That said, it is helping.

@lisamaesie I don't know if it's the same thing, but I had jaw pain many years ago. Dentist made me a bite place which kept me from clenching my jaw. it worked for me. I don't remember how long I used it, but it resolved eventually.
