Devin@actsukrit I kinda just call them posts haha. I’ve seen both as well, and I’ve read a few reasonings behind each, but toot just sounds a little silly to my ears. 😅

But I usually do call them posts myself. Especially when discussing Mastodon outside Mastodon.
@actsukrit Agreed it is a bit endearing! Maybe it will take off, but I agree with your reasoning and that’s a big part of why I go with “post.” I mean I read something the other day where “tweet” is actually being used to just describe short posts, not specifically birdsite ones.
Maybe I’ll alternate between toot and post from time to time, but I think I’m done tweeting!
