First time I've bought anything for myself in pretty close to 2 years and I am very excited for Tuesday when it's supposed to arrive.

I have done so much research and watched videos and I already have a whole bunch of stuff on my computer ready to go for it. Will be spending the next days before it arrives building my SD card for it..

@RetroSponge Congrats! They look awesome!
@RetroSponge They are cracking little devices. A little small for my liking but an absolute retro powerhouse!

@RetroSponge Just prepare for nothing to work out of the box, no matter how much you've planned in advance. 🙃

Only slightly /jk, hope it arrives in one piece.

@RetroSponge what’s this one? I’ve got an Analogue Pocket that I love for portable retro gaming. This one looks great; there’s something about that transparent look.
@darkesword It's a retro handheld that runs Retroarch. Can emulate up to the PS1.
@RetroSponge oooh yeah pocket PlayStation should be a good time. Those games look incredible on a small screen. I remember running a lot of PSX games on my PSP.
@darkesword The screen is one thing that sold me on it. It also has wifi which I believe none of the comparable consoles do.
@RetroSponge Everyone should have a device like this, barely matters which these days. My weapon of choice is an RG351P.

@yesterzine I looked at the comparable Anbernic but the wifi in the Miyoo Mini Plus is what really sold me. That adds OnionOS.

I can't wait.

@RetroSponge I’ve had mine a very long time but that’s sort of the point in itself :) In both cases though replacing the shipped os appears to be the pro move.
@RetroSponge what is this amazing thing and how is it possible I’ve never seen it?
@nerdometalero It's the Miyoo Mini Plus. A retro portable that can emulate up to the PS1.
@RetroSponge I might consider that instead of a Steam Deck tbh.

@nerdometalero I plan to get a Steam Deck as I want a portable PC game library.

If you're interested in the Miyoo I highly recommend looking up Retro Game Corps videos on it on YouTube. He's done some very in depth videos.
