A new documentary series on the Ashley Madison breach launches on Hulu tomorrow (July 7) in the US and on Disney+ in the UK. I might have an appearance or two :)

Having now watched the series, I can say it's well done, and I actually learned some stuff about the hack that I didn't know. I'm grateful they included as much as they did about what we discovered in re the "who" of the hack. But they left me a lot to explore in a blog post or posts, so that's good, I guess.

Still, I'm nagged by the feeling that this series will result in a lot more people signing up for Ashley Madison, despite the palpable loathing for the AM execs exhibited by many interviewed.

@briankrebs what’s your fav hacking/cyber movie?
@defcon Besides War Games? Probably Sneakers. Both depict hacking for what it often mostly is: Hacking humans, a fair amount of boring research/trial and error, and social engineering.
@briankrebs Found tonight’s film - Sneakers. Thanks!
