@buttpraxis Years ago we did two years of (dumptruck-sized) woodchip loads in the garden, and the subsequent year our kale was HUGE. Like, 2-4ft tall (even before it started bolting).
We also grew carrots, and the stems were huge as well. We were so excited to pick them, but.. the carrots (roots) themselves were the size of peas. 😭
That was the last time I ever attempted carrots. 😂
@Andres4NY ah, these carrots are a variety that is supposed to grow short and fat. We did it on purpose so the kid could pull them up easier. But it’s getting hot out and they’re starting to bolt. I think they only set this long because we had a really cool June
