Every day in the studio, I thank #BellLabs for balanced audio cables.

Now, if only *every* socket was a combi XLR/jack, that would save me a fuckton of hassle.

@Jyoti I would love to see USB-C used in an innovative way. Carry MIDI, analog signals *and* power down your effects pedal daisy chain, for instance. Could easily do balanced audio over three pins, etc etc.

@ajkandy

THIS IS THE DREAM!

I just switched my #Kurzweil #K2700 from it's analogue outs (which are nice!) to using the USB audio cos it was a minimal hit to latency using an aggregate audio device.

AND IT SPARKLES!

There's not so much a frequency change as a slight difference in stereo imaging... sounds more widescreen.

@Jyoti Interesting! I had a K2000 ages ago, never really learned to program it… or play keyboards…but the SOUND

@ajkandy

My first #Kurzweil was a #K2600 and the drum sounds on that, their dynamic range, was wild.

My #K2700 is brilliant apart from weighing more than the fucking Sun.

@Jyoti ha! For a short time I had a Kurzweil MIDIboard. That weighed 75 actual pounds. Sold it to a guy in the States and I had to get it professionally shipping-crated.

@ajkandy

Doesn't the MIDIboard have #PolyAT? WOOAAAHH!!

They probably use neutronium for that. Definitely.

@Jyoti yes! One of the few. Got it to use with Arturia CS-80v. Alas, still can’t play keyboard.

I have the tiniest model of Native Instruments controllers now, but I’d really love to try out a Roli Seaboard someday.
