Twitter is threatening legal action against Meta over Threads

in November, Elon Musk mocked laid off Twitter employees, saying โ€œtheir immense talent will no doubt be of great use elsewhereโ€

well, apparently some went to Meta to build Threads & Musk now has a problem with that

@MattBinder

Wait, does that mean that the cage-fight is just a show and they will both survive?

@MattBinder someone wants to have his billionaire cake and eat it too
@MattBinder He must have thought at the time that the persons he fired would not search a job elsewhere and would just go hungry out of loyalty to him...
@MattBinder can zuck and musk just get a room already?
@MattBinder take a hike Musk(ovia).
@MattBinder ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿคช
@MattBinder this is honestly hilarious.

@MattBinder meta responded that seemingly no one in the threads team was ex-twitter

Twitter spooked by Threads, threatens to sue Meta for hiring employees after Musk fired everyone

ICYMI, Elon Musk spent $44 billion in 2022 to buy Twitter and fired most of the company. A lot has...

@MattBinder Meta told Semafor they didn't hire anyone
@MattBinder
"their immense talent will no doubt be of great use elsewhere"
This. This line means Elon will use these ex-employees as a reason to troll those companies that dare hire them with lawsuit.
@MattBinder It looks as though all the money in the world can't buy emotional maturity.
@MattBinder Sorry not sorry. Leopards ate his face.
@MattBinder oh, really? ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฟ
@MattBinder LOL, welcome to California, where non-competition agreements arenโ€™t a thing!
@MattBinder Every time I see a post from this jagoff I hear circus music playing in my head now. They should never have sold the big top to the clown.

@MattBinder Similar employees also went to Bluesky, which began as an internal Twitter project, but Musk's not whining seriously about that.

I wonder why not. #CuiBono

@MattBinder ...they may have gone to Meta, but they're not on the Threads engineering team (according to Meta).
@MattBinder Well, of course, those Twitter employees would take their skills to whoever offered them a job ... if there wasn't a clause in the contract about who they could work for X months after leaving, then it's fair game!!
Grow up, this is of your own making #Musk

@MattBinder I'd dearly like to see that Musk getting his arse handed to him by the court.

Not a fan of the other guy either but one billionaire at a time... for now.

@MattBinder

Meta claims that the threads team has zero former Twitter employees.
