Just began watching "Hidden Love" with Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan on Youku. It looks a very sweet, but not a saccharine love story. The chemistry between the two leads feels real and tender. The plot structure is also interesting in its use of flashbacks. Looks very promising ๐ŸŒธ

@jillithd I am now on episode 7 and this drama is really good. The relationship between the two leads begins as a big brother + little sister relationship that feels real and not cringy or artificially cute. He is nice + empathetic and she is growing into her adult personality. He is a friend of her big brother. They take their time with the plot development which makes the characters both round and dynamic. Can definitely recommend ๐ŸŒธ

@jillithd I'm now up to episode 10 and the plot has morphed the adolescent crush into a beginning love story. He is 5 years older so he is the one having difficulty realizing what might be going on. There are misunderstandings but they are realistic and match the characters' arcs. The flashbacks help slowly reveal his background and the reasons for his kind, but lonely personality and probably also his longing for real connection and ultimately love. It is getting better and better ๐ŸŒธ

@Sollenbum I am enjoying Hidden Love so much, I want to savor it. I both want to watch ALL THE EPISODES but also go slowly, too, because I don't want to miss all of the moments... thanks so much for recommending it!

A few more episodes are free on their website and app. I subscribed earlier this month to watch "Till the End of the Moon" and have been liking it. I also watched "Back from the Brink". And now "Hidden Love" is being streamed there...
