Musing: Is there a more flavourful multi-card interaction in the LOTR set than sacrificing Balrog, Durin’s Bane—to a Lash of the Balrog—to kill Gandalf the Grey?

Maybe Samwise the Stouthearted returning a Frodo that was killed by Shelob?

What’s the highest number of cards we could ram together into a book-accurate interaction?
#MagicTheGathering

@Graham_LRR Not quite a card interaction, but a friend of mine won the prerelease by making Sauron his Ringbearer (for the first time in that game) and swung with him and a Nazgûl for the win. Very flavorful.
@Graham_LRR All of the Eowyn/Witch King/whatever that removal spell is interactions were deliberately ensured to work out correctly, which i just think is super neat.
@Graham_LRR Something involving using the ETB trigger of The One Ring to protect you long enough to use another series of cards to win the game
@Graham_LRR My favourite is flashing in Orcish Bowmasters and absolutely HOSING The One Ring - or rather its bearer… because Isildur, when he had the ring, was ambushed and killed by orc arrows in the Gladden Fields. Just.. *chef’s kiss*
@Graham_LRR Boromir is strong enough to kill Frodo with Breaking of the Fellowship, but he can always sacrifice himself instead
@Graham_LRR only if the opponent then casts Gandalf the White
@Graham_LRR Eowyn, Lady of Rohan means you can equip Barrow Blade to Merry, Esquire of Royan for free. Both Eowyn and Merry have first strike, then attack with both and opponent blocks with Witch-King of Angmar.
@Graham_LRR now i want as close as possible a retelling of the entire series using only MTG card interactions
@Graham_LRR it's only 2 cards, but I love that Doors of Durin can cheat out Watcher in the Water tapped and attacking.
@Graham_LRR I feel like the Gimli and Legolas counting of kills scene is fairly simple to set up and execute. Still only four or five cards (well technically in #magicthegathering games they’re probably killing armies I guess)
@Graham_LRR One of the fun of is that you can exile the one ring with cast into the fire
@Graham_LRR Still dreaming that someday someone uses Bill Ferny to sell me Bill the Pony.
@Graham_LRR hmm one could sacrifice Boromir to save your hobbit of choice from orcish bowmastets
@Graham_LRR as someone who hasn't seen or read any LoTR, I've now decided the only way I will learn what happens in the story is if someone recreates it scene-for-scene via a game of Magic
