Got another small butterfly painting from my favorite small-butterfly-painting artist at the Eno Festival this year... and I still haven't hung the one from Centerfest, so I pulled out a tape measure and started doing painting-hanging math.

I want to hang (eventually) four 5and7/8" square paintings in a wall space that is 29" wide by 8and1/8" high. That ends up being waaaaaaaay too many 8ths and 16ths of an inch to calculate, so...

One crappy diagram and entirely too much futzing with a square ruler & a level, and my current two are hung! (With bonus marks for where to hang the future two, even.)

Now that I have them up, I feel like the fine detail on the one on the right gets a little lost in that space. So maybe I'll get *three* more of her bolder butterflies and move that one to somewhere I can better appreciate it. 😁 But I'm happy to have them hung, in the meantime!
