Yessss people are seeing the light about #LLM like #ChatGPT

For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on an idea that I think explains the mechanism of this intelligence illusion.

I now believe that there is even less intelligence and reasoning in these LLMs than I thought before.

Many of the proposed use cases now look like borderline fraudulent pseudoscience to me.

Out of the Software Crisis

@amydentata I was initially excited by the title of the article but then disappointed by the contents.

I see real world examples every day that LLMs can do tasks that we previously thought require some intelligence (such as coding, customer support, etc.).

This forces us as humans to take an uncomfortable look at ourselves.

This article seems to react to that discomfort by minimizing what we're seeing instead of reckoning with the reality we're about to face.
