"Yeah governments need violence to enforce their rules on population"
And they still think it's good
@trans_caracal It's not good, but any form of #Governance will need #enforcement of it's rules, otherwise it'll inevitably be toppled by #Warlordism aka. #Anarchism in the sense of "Tyranny by the Strongest"!
Because #violence is part of the human evolution and at some point, people need to be stopped non-consensually in some form.
However, that doesn't necessitate excessive #PoliceViolence or #Incarceration-for-profit...
@trans_caracal That is a fine idea but inherently falls flat when a violent minority exists.
It is extremely optimistic re: human nature and believes that all people will only have good intentions and be peaceful.
Furthermore whilst a Communé may be able to self-organize in that fashion, it already falls flat once it hits like a 100k city where people taking responsibility and spechalization is needed just to not have people die from Cholera and shit...
@trans_caracal so what if the majority decides to abolish certain human rights and/or debate if someone's allowed to even exist?
See, this still requres people to be good, which AFAICT falls flat very fast...
It's a good idea, but at some point any society will require rules or laws and enforcement of them.
The "How" and "What" is clearly up for debate...
But relying solely on people being of good will and intentions, is quite naive...
@trans_caracal so how will it defend itself against tyrants that want to abolish that?
Or do you completely ignore the existance of #Tankies and #Facists?
And no, "flatlining them all" is not a valid solution to the problem, because you then just make up the premise that the problem doesn't exist...
