I have at least 9 more days in this hospital and I'm catching up on all the bad war and action movies that I missed or forgot growing up. there's so many and they're all so bad.

some people seem to prefer to pretty themselves up as soon as possible after their gender affirming surgery. my roommate has a brush for applying blush, i guess?, that i don't even own, let alone would consider bringing to a hospital. some of these ladies walk around in nice dresses with their cath bag hidden (somewhere??) and their hair done nicely.

me, i prefer to just embrace the utter disarray. i go into full hag mode without any illusion of presentability.

all of these bad action movies came out shortly before or during a relationship i was in for 4 years. this person would watch movies but make me look away, and if i looked at the TV she'd hit me. or lock me in a closet with the lights off. or whatever other punishment she would think of. and it's been 20 years but i guess somehow it still feels like undoing that damage to catch up on the mundane and senseless media that i missed.
and thus, it's time to watch the 2007 classic, Hitman.
So I'm watching Taken and Netflix literally did the "Ok the movie is over here are some other recommendations" the MOMENT he had his daughter safe. (oh, spoiler alert). Like. He didn't even get to gloat to the other adults involved in her life or anything. Netflix just wants me to bail out the moment the action is done lmao
Now I'm watching Gone in 60 Seconds. I have more than a week left of being in this hospital and I'm already losing it
lmao disney has the 2003 blockbuster "Phonebooth"! was it good back then? did it age well? will it be even better if i watch it in spanish with spanish subtitles and only 65% understand it? stay tuned (or don't, i hope mastodon lets you mute this thread or something)
