Not sure if I’ll stick with this #mastodon experiment. So far it’s mostly been people talking to themselves. Following hashtags sounded great until my feed was full of posts in languages I don’t speak or content that is related, but low quality.

Turns out I want a lil algorithm in my social media soup 🤷‍♂️

@MetzoPaino I agree that content is lacking in quality and relevance at the moment but I'm hopeful that as users grow, there will be more work done on adding features and refining algorithms.

Thats what's great about #FOSS #OpenSource

@MetzoPaino Yeah I’m feeling this a lil as well! I wouldn’t say I’m not enjoying my time here, I’ve already had very pleasant interactions so far but it does seem like there’s a lack of active users to really keep the flow going. I’m sticking with it for the time being but it’s not quite the twitter replacement that I was hoping for
