I'm sure it was someone on #Mastodon who did it, since the #TechBros are losing their shit over #Spoutible. How dare a #BlackMan start a #SocialMedia platform?

@InayaShujaat There's some real concerns and problems with Spoutible, though. I'd definitely take a gander at these articles (they're not long reads and detail a lot of controversies that went down with Bouzy this year so far): https://medium.com/@kayveebee
And also maybe this post: https://post.news/@/user/2LEUCBvJSX7mQY3cqj1EmQ8ZSPN
You're free to continue to use Spoutible, but definitely keep some of these in mind!
@tayredgrave You’re probably not going to like what I have to say:
Adult content shouldn’t be on mainstream social media. No exceptions. I’m on an instance that doesn’t allow it. Should Medium write an article, throwing a hissy over it?
I didn’t read pts 2 & 3. I got the gist with the first part. She doesn’t like it. Okay. To each their own.
Now, go read similar articles about Mastodon, and wonder why journos are so against alternatives to Twitter. 🤔🤨🧐
@InayaShujaat I advise you to read part 2 and 3, too. It's not all about adult content. Even then, the argument in the article is just "what does Spoutible consider adult content?" because the language is extremely vague and can leads to major problems (i.e. LGBTQ+ being seen as adult content).
This isn't a problem with other social media sites - they make it clear what is or isn't adult content. Spoutible didn't and still doesn't.
@tayredgrave Sorry, but I think it’s a bit much to write an article in THREE parts to basically say, “I don’t like this, and neither should you.”
Again, I invite you to read all the articles about mastodon that are similar.
The #FediverseIsRacistAF. I’m fine with a vague anti-adult content policy if it means no racism.
