@jbf1755 I guess, but the symbolism seems a little jarring. The Revolutionaries promised so much and delivered to so few. What seems off is that it is not the rights of the people with whom I disagree that are immediately in jeopardy. Rich, white, privileged, powerful — their rights should also be protected, but at the moment, I do not feel much solicitude for them while, as Dr. King put it, the promissory note of the Declaration of Independence has yet to be honored.
