@digginjazz On the bird site, I knew exactly one person personally.

I did have some gift exchanges with a small number of bird site users … from UK, USA, New Zealand and The Netherlands.

I thought it was cool to receive a magazine, or a book, from someone around the world.

@digginjazz I'm housebound so I don't meet people by accident. I've met about 30-40 of my followers frequently offline over the last 25 years and more of them only once or twice.
